PERSONALIZED APPROACH
Owner, Mike Shacur evaluates every request by meeting with homeowners one-on-one for a minimum of 45 minutes to tour the space, discuss needs and desires, and make recommendations for a successful project. Then, the team, comprised of architects, designers, and master carpenters meets to propose an estimate to fit your project--no matter how big or small.
FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS
Ashley and Michael Shacur, the family behind every build, founded AMX in 2019 after the birth of their son, Xander, to leave a legacy of meaningful service to the community of Western NY. Mike, a master carpenter, has been building for more than 15 years and takes pride in every project. Ashley, a former educator and business manager, brings caring insight to customer service and small details. The husband and wife team both grew up in Kent, NY and attended Kendall High School. They met again in 2018 when Ashley moved back to the area after spending 7 years in New York City. Mike had always dreamed of owning his own business to someday pass on to a son and thus AMX (Ashley Michael Xander) Decks and Renovations. LLC was born. The family values the quality of each project and the happiness of each homeowner.

More about Mike: Since 2005, Mike has circuited the Rochester and Buffalo areas, working with contracting companies big and small on both commercial and residential builds, remodels, and repairs. He has framed major building projects from Albany to the Pennsylvania border and Niagara Falls. Always a businessman, between engagements, Mike worked on cell phone towers and as a traveling salesman across New York State. He is a dedicated contractor, hard worker, and can be found on any job site along side the crew, guiding and working to get the job done on your schedule.

More about Ashley: A SUNY Brockport graduate of Journalism and Education, Ashley left the classroom in 2016 to further her career in marketing and communications. A freelance journalist, Ashley has written about small businesses in Rochester, designed and built websites and marketing materials for single proprietors across New England, and currently manages a summer program for children with special needs. Now a mother of one, she operates AMX behind the scenes as a liaison to contractors and homeowners.
